The DeKalb Area Women's Center (DAWC) will be hosting a workshop on self defense, on Friday, August 13th, at 7:00 p.m. The workshop will be for a $3.00 donation and will be taught by Shannon Marbutt. The advertisement in the DAWC's newsletter suggests that everyone "wear comfortable shoes and loose-fitting clothing." There is an RSVP needed, to dawc@niu.edu or 815-758-1351.
This workshop is a major bargain! Similar workshops often cost $25 to $35.
